Photography and Video
Amateur photography requires a special permit. Flash, tripods, and selfie sticks are strictly prohibited. Photos are for personal use only and may not be published online, including on social media.
Bags and Luggage
Large bags, backpacks, and umbrellas are not permitted inside the castle. A cloakroom is available near the entrance to store these items during your tour.
Prohibited Items
Food, drinks, and smoking are not allowed inside the museum spaces. Weapons, sharp objects, and pets (except service dogs) are also forbidden.
Protecting the Castle
Please do not touch the artworks, furniture, or wood paneling. Visitors are required to wear protective slippers over their shoes, which are provided at the entrance, to protect the historic floors.

Why can't I post my photos on social media?
This is a strict policy of the Peleș National Museum to protect the image rights of the heritage site. All photography, even with a paid permit, is for personal, non-commercial use only.
Is there a dress code?
There is no formal dress code, but visitors are encouraged to dress respectfully. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended for the tour and the walk to the castle.
Can I bring a stroller or baby carrier inside?
Baby carriers are generally permitted. Strollers may be difficult to navigate in the narrow corridors and may need to be left at the cloakroom. It is best to check with staff upon arrival.
Are the gardens and terraces also subject to rules?
Yes, visitors are asked not to walk on the lawns, pick plants, or climb on sculptures to preserve the historic landscape. Pets are not allowed in the gardens.
